As we wrapped up the week on Friday, grain markets found some green on the screen led by soybeans and Chicago wheat. We saw overnight escalation between Israel and Iran, EPA announced the summertime E-15 waiver on Friday and livestock trade was mixed with hogs finding strength while cattle were mixed ahead of the latest Cattle on Feed Report.
First up on today's show, we talk headline risk in the markets and get some interesting clarity on USDA's thinking when it comes to getting rid of certain NASS reports and the big differences between USDA and Conab. Ted Seifried from Zaner Ag Hedge joins us to discuss all of that and more.
In Segment Three, we discuss the market headlines and overall demand picture in the grain markets. Joe Lardy, research analyst with CHS, joins the show for the first time to discuss. Then Jesse wraps the show in Segment Four with a look at the April Cattle on Feed Report and more.
